Legal Video Experience Paul Mariano Paul Mariano is the President and co-founder of Gravitas consulting. He is an attorney who recently retired, after 27 years as a criminal defense litigator with the Contra Costa County Public Defender Office. During his tenure with the public defender office, he was a supervisor, a leader in training, and a mentor to scores of attorneys (both new and experienced), in addition to being a litigator with substantial experience in handling the most serious and complex criminal cases. He is an experienced and passionate criminal defense attorney. He has successfully handled thousands of cases and hundreds of trials, including numerous homicide and death penalty cases. Mr. Mariano has taught at Stanford Law School, Boalt Hall School of Law, and the University of San Francisco School of Law. He is a graduate of Hastings College of the Law. Kurt Norton Kurt Norton is the co-founder of Gravitas consulting. He is a private investigator with over fifteen years of experience working on both the guilt and penalty phase of death penalty cases. In addition to his extensive experience as a criminal defense investigator, he is an accomplished filmmaker. He has produced, written and directed numerous films, which have screened at film festivals across the country. Raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, he is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley. |
